2 days-Shamanic plant healing journey. ‘the Mother & the Father’
May 6 @ 5:00 pm - May 8 @ 6:00 pm
Huachuma (also called San Pedro) is the name for the Trichocereus Pachanoi Cactus.
Ayahuasca and Huachuma are considered sacred plant medicines in shamanic traditions.
The cactus and ayahuasca is used to heal physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances.
Ayahuasca: Mother medicine
This brew has been consumed thousands of years by indigenous Amazonian tribes and is considered as the Mother medicine. It alters your state of consciousness and is also called the ‘vine of the soul’.
It shows you your soul and your true self. It has strong healing, cleansing and visionary properties, gives deep insights and can resolve inner blocks.
It brings you in touch with your essence, your divinity. The portals of perception open up and you perceive the world in a way you never have before. Aspects of reality that usually stay hidden become visible.
You may have visions and images of other realms, worlds and dimensions, kaleidoscopic patterns, angels and colors.
In a journey be very visual, but you can also get insights, it varies per person. Oftentimes you also experience the plant on a physical level; you can feel the energy flowing through your body, feel heath or cold, start shaking or purging which is related to the cleansing process on many levels.
Huachuma differs from ayahuasca.
Huachuma has a male energy, being straight forward and grounding. It can be confronting, but in a more loving way. It brings you back into your body and helps you get insight in your dysfunctional patters and your potential. It helps you integrate the lessons and insights into your heart.
It brings you back in touch with nature and remember who you truly are.
Huachuma puts you in you body and makes you aware of your physical potential. Vomiting is more rare.
Huachuma is also directed outward in contrast to the inward directed ayahuasca. Therefore, the setting differs where ayahuasca is an individual process whereas Huachuma includes interaction during the ceremony which affects the inner processes. Of course, every individual is free to take his/her own space.
The first night we start around 20.00 and have a 6-8 hour ceremony that will be guided with shamanic icaros. The Huachuma ceremony will start the next day in the afternoon. We start the ceremony with a sharing of intentions after which the ceremony will be guided the first 8 hours by Bert Steketee, without music sitting by a fire. During these 8 hours, contact with nature (walks) the elements (fire) will be central. After that we will sue different musical instruments will be played to support the individual processes. The Huachuma journey will last 10-14 hours.
In the morning around 11 there will be a sharing after which people can go home.
Both ceremonies will take place in a Tipi tent.
We will sleep in a group accommodation of a farm. When the weather is nice, we will also be outside during (parts of) the ceremony.
There will be space for individual free time.
